Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse (Band 5) – Nottingham

Location: Nottingham
Pay Rate: £27 – £34 per hour
Shifts: Day, Night, and Weekend shifts available

Cromwell Medical Staffing is currently recruiting an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse – Band 5 to work with a leading paediatric hospital in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse to provide life-saving care to critically ill children in a specialist environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-level, specialised nursing care to children in intensive care
• Monitor and manage complex medical conditions, including ventilated and high-dependency patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including consultants, respiratory therapists, and paediatric specialists
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to families during difficult times
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to national healthcare standards

Requirements:

• Valid NMC registration as a Band 5 Nurse
• Minimum 6 months of recent PICU experience
• Advanced clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Strong communication, teamwork, and emotional resilience
