Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Band 7 Echocardiographer to join a busy Cardiac Physiology Department within an NHS Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and competent Echocardiographer with advanced technical expertise and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently perform and report comprehensive adult transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE).
• Assess cardiac structure and function in accordance with current professional guidelines.
• Produce accurate, timely, and clinically relevant reports to support patient diagnosis and management.
• Recognise significant pathology and escalate urgent findings appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with Cardiologists, Cardiac Physiologists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection prevention.

Essential Requirements:

• BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology or equivalent formal specialist training.
• Significant post-graduate training and experience in Echocardiography.
• British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) Level 2 Accreditation in Adult Echocardiography.
• Ability to independently perform and report adult echocardiograms.
• Extensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience with advanced echocardiographic techniques.
• Experience supervising junior staff or students.
• Participation in audit, quality improvement, or service development projects.
