2. Purpose

This policy sets out our environmental objectives and the measures to be implemented to achieve them. Our focus areas include:

Carbon Reduction – Aligning with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to reduce emissions across our operations, including office energy consumption, business travel, and employee commuting.
Energy Efficiency – Transitioning to 100% renewable energy sources where feasible and improving energy management across offices.
Sustainable Commuting & Business Travel – Reducing travel-related emissions through hybrid work models, virtual collaboration tools, and incentives for low-emission transport.
Waste Management & Circular Economy – Achieving zero waste to landfill by 2030 through sustainable procurement, waste reduction initiatives, and responsible recycling.
Employee Engagement & Compliance – Embedding sustainability into business culture through training, awareness programs, and performance monitoring.

This policy applies to all ICG Medical employees, subsidiaries, and business activities, including:

Business Travel & Commuting – Reduction of emissions through low-carbon transport policies and remote working strategies.

4.1 Carbon Reduction & Energy Efficiency

ICG Medical has committed to Net Zero by 2050 and has set interim goals to:

Reduce healthcare personnel commuting emissions by 30% by 2030.
Cut office commuting emissions by 50% by 2030.
Halve electricity-related emissions by 2030, transitioning to renewable energy sources and energy-efficient technologies.

4.2 Sustainable Travel & Commuting

Prioritisation of virtual meetings over travel and partnerships with eco-certified hotels for necessary business travel.
Implementation of financial incentives for low-emission vehicles and subsidies for public transport.
Expansion of remote working options to reduce commuting-related emissions.

4.3 Waste Reduction & Resource Efficiency

Commitment to zero waste to landfill by 2030, with enhanced recycling, composting, and single-use plastic reduction.
Procurement strategy to ensure at least 50% of purchased materials are recycled or renewable.

4.4 Employee Engagement & Compliance

Annual sustainability training for all employees.
