Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Nurse – NHS (Agency Role)

Location: Mid and South Essex NHS Trust

Pay Rate: £25–£40 per hour (DOE & shift pattern)

Employment Type: Agency / Flexible Shifts

Experience Required: Minimum 6 months of NHS experience

About the Role

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Endoscopy Nurses to support the Mid and South Essex NHS Trust through flexible agency assignments. This role is ideal for nurses with NHS experience who are looking for excellent rates, consistent shifts, and the chance to work within a highly regarded endoscopy service.

Key Responsibilities

Support and assist with endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, etc.).

Deliver safe, high-quality care throughout all stages of endoscopic procedures.

Work collaboratively with consultants and the wider NHS multidisciplinary team.

Maintain clear, accurate documentation in line with NHS standards.

Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and JAG standards.

Requirements

Valid NMC registration (RGN).

Minimum 6 months’ NHS experience (Endoscopy experience required ).

Knowledge of decontamination processes is an advantage.

Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.

Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced NHS environment.
