Role Overview

Cromwell Medical Staffing is recruiting for a skilled Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join a community mental health team on a 12-week assignment. This position offers a strong opportunity to work autonomously while managing a designated caseload, delivering effective mental health care, and supporting community-based treatment pathways.

Core Duties

• Carry out assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and review outcomes for individuals with diverse mental health needs
• Complete detailed mental health and risk evaluations, ensuring appropriate safety and risk mitigation strategies are established
• Take responsibility as a Care Coordinator in accordance with Care Programme Approach (CPA) guidelines
• Work collaboratively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to design and deliver tailored care plans
• Assist with discharge processes from inpatient units and ensure continuity of care within community settings.

Candidate Requirements

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC registration
• At least 6 months of recent experience in a community psychiatric nursing role
• Proven ability to manage and prioritise a clinical caseload within community services
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Current mandatory training (including Safeguarding, Basic Life Support, and Manual Handling; PMVA/MAPA advantageous).
