Job Description:

We are currently recruiting two experienced Band 7 Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) Practitioners for a full-time block booking at Skegness UTC from May through to September. This opportunity is available due to the seasonal increase in patient attendances during the summer months.

Practitioners may be required to deliver care across a variety of urgent care settings including clinical bases, patient home visits, and remote consultations via telephone or video where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide independent clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge of patients attending the Urgent Treatment Centre.
• Manage a wide range of minor illnesses and minor injuries in line with UTC clinical protocols and guidelines.
• Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based care in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Act as a clinical lead during shifts, supporting and guiding colleagues when required.
• Influence, support, and motivate colleagues to maintain high morale and professional standards, particularly during busy periods.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs, nurses, paramedics, and community services..

Requirements:

• Experience working within Urgent Treatment Centres, Emergency Departments, or Primary Care Urgent Services.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Additional Information:

• Practitioners undertaking home visits must have standard driving skills to travel to patient homes or transport equipment when required.
• All post holders may be required to travel between service locations and attend meetings if requested.
