Job Title: Neonatal Nurse – Band 6 (NICU)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Neonatal Nurse (Band 6) to join our dynamic neonatal care team. This critical role focuses on delivering expert, compassionate care to vulnerable newborns requiring specialized neonatal support. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safety, growth, and development of neonatal patients in a high‑quality clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to neonates in NICU, HDU, or Special Care Units
• Monitor vital signs and conduct regular physical assessments
• Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, using aseptic techniques
• Assist with neonatal procedures such as:
• Blood sampling
• Catheterization
• Ventilator and respiratory support
• Support and educate families on neonatal care, including:
• Tube feeding
• Oxygen therapy
• Developmental support
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EHR systems (Cerner / Epic)
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and discharge planning
• Ensure compliance with safety, confidentiality, and care standards

Requirements

• Registered Children’s Nurse (RCN)
• Registered with NMC (UK)
• QIS Trained
• Minimum 6 months neonatal experience
• Experience in NICU / Level II or III units preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work calmly in high‑pressure environments
