Overview

Cromwell Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Community Nurse (RGN) to join the BeeU Assessment Team in Telford.


This role sits within a specialist service supporting children and young people’s mental health, offering the opportunity to carry out structured assessments and contribute to effective care planning within a well-established multidisciplinary framework.

Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments for children and young people referred into the service
  • Triage and screen referrals, identifying urgency and risk levels
  • Manage incoming enquiries from professionals, parents, and carers
  • Conduct both urgent and routine face-to-face assessments
  • Contribute to daily MDT discussions and care planning decisions
  • Recommend appropriate interventions, treatment pathways, or discharge plans
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff and students
  • Work in line with the Thrive Model and local operational procedures

Candidate Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC registration
  • Demonstrated Band 6 experience within community or mental health settings
  • Strong experience in triage, assessment, and risk management
  • Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Up-to-date mandatory training and full compliance
  • Available for an immediate start
