Contract Type: Agency / Temporary

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Shift Times: 07:30 – 20:00 (Long Day Shifts Only)

Pay Rate: £21 – £30 per hour (depending on experience)

Overview

We are recruiting a Band 5 Theatre Anaesthetic Practitioner to join Heygrove Theatres at Bristol Royal Infirmary. This is a busy tertiary theatre environment within a leading NHS Trust, supporting a wide range of complex surgical procedures.

Clinical Experience Required

Candidates should ideally have experience in:

1. Thoracic surgery
2. Gastrointestinal (GI)
3. Trauma & Orthopaedics (T&O)
4. Maxillofacial surgery
5. Robotic surgery

Key Responsibilities

• Support anaesthetic care during surgical procedures
• Prepare anaesthetic rooms and equipment
• Assist anaesthetists throughout operations
• Ensure patient safety and monitoring at all times
• Maintain accurate perioperative documentation
• Work closely with theatre and surgical teams

• Essential Requirements
• Registered Nurse (NMC) or ODP (HCPC)
• Previous theatre anaesthetics experience
• Experience in listed specialties preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work long day shifts
• Adaptable and reliable in a fast-paced environment
