Rate: 17.50 pounds on PAYE

Role Overview

We are seeking reliable and consistent Band 5 Paediatric Nurses (RPN) to support paediatric services within a dynamic NHS environment. The role involves delivering high-quality, family-centred care to infants, children, and young people while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to paediatric patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care tailored to children and their families
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NMC and Trust standards
• Recognise and respond appropriately to clinical deterioration
• Work collaboratively with doctors, allied health professionals, and safeguarding teams
• Promote a child- and family-centred approach to care
• Adhere to infection prevention, health & safety, and clinical governance policies

Essential Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration (Paediatric/RSCN/RN Child)
• Proven experience working in paediatric settings
• Safeguarding Level 2 certification (mandatory)
• Paediatric Life Support (PLS) training (mandatory)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to service needs
• Demonstrated reliability and consistency in attendance and performance

Desirable Criteria

• Experience across multiple paediatric care settings (e.g., ward, A&E, community)
• Additional paediatric competencies or specialist training
• Previous NHS experience

Working Pattern

• Flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends
