Pharmacist – Medication Safety Officer

Cromwell Medical Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced Pharmacist – Medication Safety Officer to join a leading NHS Trust. This vital role will focus on improving medication safety across the organisation, ensuring high standards in clinical governance, risk management, and safe prescribing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead investigations and root cause analysis of medication-related incidents
• Develop, implement, and monitor medication safety strategies and action plans
• Provide expert advice to clinical teams on safe medication use
• Deliver training and support on medication safety to multidisciplinary staff
• Work closely with governance, pharmacy, and risk teams to uphold regulatory standards
• Analyse data and reporting trends to identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

• GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
• Proven experience in hospital pharmacy within the NHS
• Strong understanding of medication safety principles and clinical risk management
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
